The Philippines Chief Information Officer Association (PCIOA) formally welcomed new technology leaders during its November 19 general members meeting and year end gathering at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, gathering technology leaders from across the country to strengthen collaboration, learning, and digital leadership.
PCIOA, a private sector–led and fully vetted community of CIOs and senior technology executives, reaffirmed its mission to build a forward-looking network of leaders who champion innovation and support the country’s shift toward a digitally driven economy.
The group highlighted its commitment to continuous learning, responsible technology adoption, and developing transformative leaders.
PCIOA Founder and President Mel Migriño underscored the importance of the association’s expanded role in the country’s digital maturity.
“Our goal is to build a community of leaders who not only understand technology, but can use it responsibly, inclusively, and sustainably. Strengthening our chapters and bringing in new affiliations allow us to accelerate real, meaningful progress in every sector we touch,” Migriño said.
During the meeting, members were briefed on organizational updates and the planned initiatives for 2026, focusing on deeper engagement across its many chapters.

A highlight of the event was the formal oath-taking ceremony of the newly affiliated leaders which was presided by its Founding President and in her capacity as one of the leaders of the ASEAN CXO Association, further strengthening the PCIOA’s regional linkages and influence. PCIOA is the country affiliate of the ASEAN CXO Association with headquarters in Singapore.
Hong Sin Kwek, Co-founder and President of ASEAN CXO Association expressed the importance of the affiliation of PCIOA and how it will help shape ACXOA’s mission and viison towards a resilient digital ASEAN.
The organization also reiterated its four core pillars, as shown during the presentation: promoting responsible and sustainable use of technology; protecting critical assets through stronger cybersecurity and risk management; empowering women and youth to thrive in emerging technologies; and strengthening leadership capabilities amid rapid digital transformation.
