Elon Musk unveils ‘Grokipedia,’ an AI-Powered alternative to Wikipedia

By San Matildo

Elon Musk has announced plans to launch an online encyclopedia called “Grokipedia,” developed by his artificial intelligence company, xAI.

The project, revealed through a social media post, is linked to his AI chatbot Grok, which Musk has described as a tool built to search for the “truth.”

“We are building Grokipedia @xAI. Will be a massive improvement over Wikipedia. Frankly, it is a necessary step towards the xAI goal of understanding the Universe,” Musk said.

The Tech Billionaire Icon has been an outspoken critic of Wikipedia, accusing the platform of being biased and lacking objectivity.

In contrast, he framed Grokipedia as a more reliable and unbiased knowledge repository.

“Join @xAI and help build Grokipedia, an open source knowledge repository that is vastly better than Wikipedia! This will be available to the public with no limits on use,” he added.

While the announcement generated buzz online, details about the project remain limited. Musk has not disclosed a timeline for its release or specifics on how Grokipedia will operate.

Still, the promise of an “open source” and publicly accessible platform positions it as a potential challenger to Wikipedia.
