Metro Manila connectivity gets major boost from new towers, upgrades
By TechWatch PH Staff
Metro Manila’s digital backbone is getting stronger as new cell towers and network capacity upgrades are rolled out across the capital, benefiting over 13 million residents with faster, more reliable connectivity.
The improvements are being driven by Globe, with projects focused on high-density areas such as schools, major roads, business districts, and residential communities—ensuring that the city keeps pace with the demands of its growing digital economy.
The impact goes beyond speed. Entrepreneurs are reaching more customers and running businesses more efficiently, employees are staying productive wherever they work, and students have uninterrupted access to online learning and research. Families also enjoy seamless digital services, from banking and healthcare to entertainment and social media.
In Quezon City, the most populous city in the metro, new towers in barangays like San Agustin, Bagong Silangan, Doña Imelda, Pasong Putik, and Loyola Heights are improving coverage in both educational and residential zones. Makati and Taguig, two of the capital’s fastest-growing hubs, are also benefiting from stronger service in Guadalupe Nuevo, Pio del Pilar, Napindan, Lower Bicutan, and Bonifacio Global City.
Meanwhile, enhancements in Parañaque and other cities—including Caloocan, Las Piñas, Marikina, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Manila, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Pasay, Pasig, San Juan, and Valenzuela—are expanding coverage in schools, transport hubs, and communities.
For Metro Manila as a whole, every new tower and network enhancement translates to stronger, more dependable internet that makes daily life more connected, convenient, and productive—empowering communities and reinforcing the capital’s role as the country’s dynamic digital hub.
With the most consistent network in the country, Globe ensures Filipinos can work, learn, share, and thrive in today’s digital world.
“Metro Manila is always on the move, and connectivity has to keep up. Globe is building new sites and boosting capacity where people learn, work, and live to make sure our network can meet real, everyday demands not just today, but in the years to come,” said Joel Agustin, SVP for Network Planning and Engineering.
To ensure customers can fully maximize the upgraded network, Globe offers value-packed data promos such as Globe Prepaid Go+99 with free 5G data, TM EZ50 5G, and Globe At Home WiFi services in selected areas.
By investing in stronger, more resilient infrastructure, Globe is not only keeping pace with the demands of the digital era but is also actively shaping it. These network expansions reaffirm the company’s commitment to empowering Metro Manila’s communities, opening doors to new opportunities, and driving progress in the digital age.
