GCash is expanding access to stock market investing through GStocks PH, its in-app investment platform that allows Filipinos to open an account and trade stocks using their mobile phones.
Available through GInvest in the GCash app, GStocks PH offers a paperless registration process and provides users access to the Philippine stock market through broker AB Capital Securities Inc.
GCash said GStocks PH currently serves more than 2 million users, accounting for a significant share of online retail stock market accounts in the country.
Data from the Philippine Stock Exchangeβs 2025 Stock Market Investor Profile report showed that the number of stock market accounts increased by 27.3 percent to 3.64 million in 2025, from 2.86 million in 2024.
Of the total, 99.2 percent, or 3.61 million, were retail investor accounts. Around 3.22 million retail accounts were held online through digital trading platforms and e-wallets, with online retail accounts growing by 30.5 percent year-on-year.
The figures reflect the growing role of digital platforms in bringing retail investors into the local capital market as mobile services make account opening and trading more accessible.
βBy improving digital access to investing, an area that was once traditionally reserved for the privileged few, we are helping create pathways for more Filipinos to build a more secure financial future,β said Winsley Bangit, Group Head of New Businesses at Mynt, the parent company of GCash.
Aside from GStocks PH, GInvest also provides access to other investment products and services, including GFunds and GBonds.
GCash said it is also focusing on financial literacy as more Filipinos turn to mobile platforms for investing.
GStocks PH provides users with access to market research and beginner-focused investment guidance, while GCash has also introduced its AI-powered Pera Coach, which offers educational tips and investment information through the app.
βBeyond making access to investing more convenient, weβre doubling down on our financial literacy efforts to help Filipinos better understand and use the tools we provide,β Bangit added.
GCash said the expansion of its digital investment services is aimed at lowering traditional barriers to investing and giving more Filipinos access to tools for participating in the local capital market.
