Globe restores services, extends relief to 700 families hit by monsoon
Globe said it has fully restored mobile and broadband services affected by the Southwest Monsoon as it extends relief assistance to 700 families across parts of Central Luzon.
The telecommunications company said mobile services have been restored following disruptions across nine municipalities in Metro Manila and two municipalities in Rizal. Broadband outages affecting seven municipalities and cities in Metro Manila have also been resolved.
As communities recover from the effects of the monsoon, Globe, in partnership with Ayala Foundation Inc. (AFI), is providing relief assistance to families in Masantol, Macabebe, Apalit and Candaba in Pampanga; Calumpit in Bulacan; and Hermosa and Dinalupihan in Bataan.
The initiative is expected to reach around 700 affected families across the three Central Luzon provinces.
Globe is also continuing its Alagang Globe assistance for customers in Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet and Mountain Province.
Globe Prepaid and TM customers in affected areas may access unlimited calls and texts to all networks, 100 MB of open-access data and another 100 MB for Facebook, Viber and other applications. The assistance is valid for one day.
Globe Postpaid customers, meanwhile, are being provided extended payment due dates.
For home internet users, eligible Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi customers may receive 5 GB of open-access data valid for three days, while GFiber Prepaid subscribers are being given a three-day extension on their existing promos.
Eligible GFiber Postpaid customers may receive 15 GB of free data valid for 15 days, along with extended payment due dates.
Globe said customers may also donate their Globe Rewards points to Ayala Foundation through the GlobeOne app. Donations to the foundation may also be made through GCash to support ongoing relief and recovery efforts in affected communities.
