Acer claimed it remained the Philippines’ leading laptop brand during the first five months of 2026, extending what the company said is a market leadership position it has held for two decades.
Citing Nielsen-GfK data, Acer said it captured a 37 percent share of the consumer laptop market and a 34.5 percent share of the gaming laptop segment from January to May 2026.
The company said the latest figures build on its reported 20 consecutive years as the country’s top laptop brand from 2006 to 2025, based on the IDC Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker for the fourth quarter of 2025.
According to Acer, its consumer laptop market share reached an all-time high of 37.3 percent in 2025, driven by demand for both its gaming and mainstream laptop offerings.

“These achievements are deeply meaningful to us as we celebrate Acer’s 50th anniversary,” said Sue Ong-Lim, managing director of Acer Philippines. “They reflect our strong commitment to our mission of breaking barriers between people and technology, one that has guided our innovations for five decades.”
Acer attributed its continued market performance to its nationwide retail footprint, after-sales service network, and brand initiatives aimed at engaging Filipino consumers.
Among these initiatives is Acer Day, which will celebrate its 10th year through technology and lifestyle activities for customers and local communities.
The company also continues to stage the Asia Pacific Predator League, an esports tournament entering its eighth year that brings together competitive gaming teams from across the region.

Beyond the consumer and gaming markets, Acer said it has expanded its presence in the education sector through the Acer Edu Summit, a regional forum that gathers policymakers, educators, and technology leaders to discuss the role of artificial intelligence and human-centered technologies in education.
As Acer marks its 50th anniversary in 2026, the company said it will continue investing in product innovation, customer service, and community programs as technology becomes increasingly integrated into work, education, gaming, and everyday life.
