Users report issues on Facebook, Instagram, Threads

Users in several countries reported problems accessing Meta-owned platforms Facebook, Instagram, and Threads on Friday, June 12, with some saying the apps and websites displayed errors when loading feeds or creating new posts.

Based on online reports, some users experienced issues with Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, including problems with loading content, logging in, and publishing posts.

Reports monitored by outage-tracking platform Downdetector also showed complaints involving Facebook, including issues with the app, login, and website access.

Users also turned to non-Meta platforms such as X to ask whether Facebook and other Meta services were down.

The reported disruption comes as many users rely on Meta platforms not only for social networking, but also for business pages, customer inquiries, news distribution, and online community updates.

As of writing, Meta has yet to release a statement on the matter.
