Globe extends roaming relief to Filipinos in Middle East
- Globe
Globe Telecom is rolling out targeted roaming support for customers in parts of the Middle East, offering complimentary connectivity packages and account relief measures as conditions in the region continue to evolve.
The assistance covers eligible Globe Prepaid, TM, and Postpaid subscribers in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait.
Customers connected to Globe’s preferred roaming partners in these countries will automatically receive a seven-day package that includes 1GB of all-access data, 15 minutes of calls, and 15 SMS credits. No registration is required, and eligible users will be notified once the service is activated.
In Saudi Arabia, subscribers are advised to connect via STC or Zain. In the United Arab Emirates, supported networks include Du and e& (Etisalat). In Bahrain, customers may connect through Batelco and Zain Bahrain, while in Qatar the roaming partners are Ooredoo and Vodafone. In Kuwait, supported networks include Ooredoo Kuwait and stc Kuwait.
Globe said customers must ensure they are connected to the designated partner networks in each country to qualify for the complimentary package, which is intended to support urgent communication needs.
For subscribers in Iran, the company is providing load assistance or bill adjustments to help offset roaming costs. Account credits will be administered based on usage patterns while connected to roaming partners such as MTN Irancell.
Paula Rivera-Castillo, Head of Globe International Business, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to keeping customers connected during uncertain situations, particularly those overseas who rely on roaming services to stay in touch with family and access essential information.
“We recognize the importance of connection especially when circumstances are unpredictable. These measures represent Globe’s commitment to supporting our customers abroad, keeping them reliably linked to family and critical communication even in challenging contexts,” said Rivera-Castillo.
Globe said it continues to coordinate with international partners and monitor developments in the region to ensure stable connectivity and timely support for affected subscribers.
Further details on roaming services and partner networks are available through Globe’s official website.
