  • Screenshot of the House of Representatives website shows a press release entry titled “Seized by the People of the Philippines,” which was reportedly posted during the defacement of congress.gov.ph on June 13, 2026.

The official website of the Philippine House of Representatives was defaced by multiple threat actors, according to cybersecurity monitoring group Deep Web Konek.

Based on a screenshot of the House website, the defaced entry appeared under the “Press Releases” section of congress.gov.ph and was dated June 13, 2026, 8:17 p.m. The page carried the title “SEIZED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES.”

The message accused corrupt officials of stealing not only public funds, but also opportunities, justice, and the trust of Filipinos. It claimed that every act of corruption weakens institutions meant to protect the people, turning public service into self-interest and replacing accountability with privilege.

The reported incident came in the same week that the Senate website was also reportedly defaced by a group identifying itself as “NullSec Philippines,” raising further concerns over the security of public-facing government websites.

“While a few benefit behind closed doors, ordinary citizens are left to bear the consequences through failing systems, broken promises, and opportunities that never reach those who need them most,” the message read.

The threat actors also alleged that their official pages had disappeared, suggesting that pages related to their previous activities had been removed. The message criticized the takedown of pages and said such actions would not make people forget or silence public discussion.

“You can remove posts. You can take down pages. But you can’t hide what is the truth behind the circus of this government, and you can’t silence everyone. We’re still here. And we’re not done talking,” the message stated.

The defaced page also included greetings to several groups and threat actors, including APH, DNH, PCA, DPH, Sentinel X, Philippine Cyber Mafia, CyberMad, Klammer, Anonymous Caloocan, Philippine Hacking University, LEI$, 0XSEVE, F33DLER, Nostra, 1NVAD3R, Cryptonymz, Y3N, 0XTERROR, 0XZHEN, and V3ndetta.

As of writing, there is no confirmed evidence that sensitive government data was leaked. No official statement has also been released regarding the extent of the reported compromise or the identities of those responsible.

The incident, if confirmed, would add to growing concerns over the cybersecurity posture of government websites, especially as public-facing portals remain common targets for defacement and hacktivist messages.

As of writing, the House of Representatives has yet to issue a statement on the reported defacement of its official website.
