LG unveils 2026 LG gram lineup with aerominum build, dual AI features
LG Electronics announced its 2026 LG gram lineup, introducing a new material called Aerominum alongside expanded artificial intelligence features aimed at improving portability and productivity.
The company said the updated series continues its focus on ultra-portable laptops, with Aerominum designed to reduce weight while reinforcing structural strength. LG described the material as featuring an aeroplate structure and refined brushing finish intended to provide a metallic look without increasing bulk. The chassis is also said to offer improved scratch resistance and meet military-grade durability standards.
Beyond design changes, select 2026 LG gram models integrate what LG calls advanced dual AI, combining on-device intelligence with cloud-based AI tools. The devices support Microsoft Copilot+ PC and LG’s gram chat On-Device AI, powered by EXAONE 3.5 sLLM, allowing certain AI functions to run locally without an internet connection.
LG said the new lineup is equipped with the latest processors to support multitasking and AI-assisted workflows, particularly for content creation and productivity applications.
The company also highlighted connectivity features through gram Link, which enables file sharing, screen mirroring and content transfer across Android and iOS devices, as well as webOS-based LG products such as TVs, monitors and projectors. For device protection, LG ThinQ allows users to remotely lock or erase a PC if it is lost.
Among the new models, the LG gram Pro 17, identified as model 17Z90UR, features a 17-inch WQXGA display with 2,560 x 1,600 resolution and is powered by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7 memory. LG positions the device as delivering high-performance capabilities in a form factor comparable to many 16-inch laptops.
The LG gram Pro 16, or 16Z90U, includes a 16-inch WQXGA+ OLED display with 2,880 x 1,800 resolution. LG said the model supports both on-device and cloud-based AI features and runs on the latest Intel Core Ultra processors to support everyday workloads and multitasking.
“The 2026 LG gram represents a new milestone in our decade-long pursuit of ultimate portability. With Aerominum, we have successfully solved the paradox of weight versus durability, creating a premium metallic look that is both incredibly light and exceptionally durable,” said Lee Choong-hwoan, head of the Display Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “By fusing this breakthrough material with our advanced dual AI and security solutions, our highly intelligent and extremely portable new laptops empower users to work, create and connect seamlessly wherever they are.”
